Study on Adsorption of Different Dye Wastewater by Modified Eggshell
Modified eggshell(MES)was prepared by modifying eggshell(ES)with potassium hydroxide solution.Taking eggshell and modified eggshell as the object, the effects of different adsorption time, solution pH and adsorbent dosage on the adsorption effect of different dyes were studied, and the modified process conditions were further optimized through orthogonal experiment and comparative experiment to improve the adsorption rate. The specific surface area, pore volume, scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the physicochemical properties of eggshell surface before and after modification. The adsorption mechanism of modified eggshell on simulated dye wastewater was investigated. The results of orthogonal experiment showed that the treatment effect of modified eggshell was generally higher than that of unmodified eggshell.Under the optimal combination conditions, the adsorption rates of methylene blue,Congo red and methyl orange by modified eggshell were 97.6%,97.8%and 96.9%respectively,increased by 34.2%,36.1%and 19.1%respectively.The Langmuir isotherm and pseudo second order kinetic equation fit the adsorption process well.
