A Novel Compound of 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2(1H)-Quinoxalinone Ameliorating Diabetic Nephropathy with Hypoglycemia and Antioxidant Effects
Objective:diabetes nephropathy(DN)is the main cause of end-stage renal disease and one of the most intractable complications of diabetes. The accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)leads to oxidative stress that promotes the development of DN:Therefore, clearing ROS is a key method for preventing and treating DN.Method:3-aryl quinoxalone derivatives were prepared.By measuring urine protein, malondialdehyde level, renal glutathione level and superoxide dismutase activity, the improvement effect of the compound on DN was determined.Results:3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-2(1H)-quinoxalinone can reduce the levels of urine protein,MDA,increase the level of GSH and SOD activity in the kidney of diabetes nephropathy mice, which confirms its significant antioxidant effect, improving proteinuria. Conclusion:The above results indicate that this compound has a potential role in improving kidney damage caused by DN.
