Research Progress on Surface Modification and Application of Wollastonite
Wollastonite is a new type of industrial mineral with high whiteness,high refractive index,excellent chemical stability,and unique needle like structure.It is widely used in coatings,ceramics,rubber,plastics,papermaking,insulation,refractory materials,and other fields.However,the surface of wollastonite particles exhibits inherent hydrophilicity and oleophobicity,resulting in poor compatibility with the matrix and limiting its further application.This article provides a detailed introduction to the different modification methods and their advantages and disadvantages of wollastonite,and systematically discusses the research progress of the application of wollastonite in plastics,ceramics,and papermaking.
