Application of Rolling Wheel Device in Heavy Duty Extractable Tube Bundle Heat Exchangers
U-shaped and floating head heat exchangers are common types of heat exchangers in petro-chemical projects.Because the tube bundles can be pulled out or pushed in for these heat exchangers,their tubes can be cleaned conveniently.The tube bundle pulling devices are widely used to facilitate the extraction and installation of tube bundles during manufacturing,maintenance,reduce resistance during the extraction process,and protect the baffle and support plates.There are several typical structures of tube bundle pulling devices,each with its own scope of application and advantages and disadvantages.This article introduced the typical structures of tube bundle pulling devices used in extractable tube bundle heat exchangers,and elaborated on the applicable scopes,advantages and disadvantages of each structure.In order to meet needs of bundle pulling for heavy-duty tube bundle heat exchangers,structural optimization design was carried out based on the standard rolling wheel structure.The structure and advantages of the optimized rolling wheel device,as well as the key points of design and manufacturing were introduced in detail with project application examples.Based on past engineering experience,the rolling wheel type tube bundle pulling device has good application prospects in the trend of large-scale equipment.
