To achieve synchronous construction of open tunnel boring machine(TBM)excavation and cast-in-place inverted arch,improve the quality of cast-in-place inverted arch lining,and shorten the project period,the authors designed and developed construction equipment for the entire cast-in-place inverted arch with large span based on the boundary conditions of cast-in-place inverted arch construction in long hydraulic tunnels bored by open TBMs.A detailed design of the construction equipment for the entire cast-in-place inverted arch is conducted based on the functional requirements,main beam,support legs,front and rear climbing rails,walking system,and inverted arch lining.Finally,an innovative idea is proposed to raise the main bridge crane road surface and set up 11 12-m-long functional operation areas under the main bridge,which is fully validated on site.The engineering practice achieves the following results:(1)The main bridge support system,walking drive system,and formwork pouring system of the entire process of cast-in-place inverted arch equipment preliminarily exhibit a good applicable effect.(2)The construction equipment for the entire process of cast-in-place inverted arch has various advantages such as high assembly efficiency,easy overall movement,high compatibility with the on-site construction process,adequate operating space,and low labor intensity.This helps in realizing an advancing length of 240 m per month and improving the cast-in-place technology of the inverted arch by TBM construction.However,the equipment occupies a certain space,thereby limiting construction traffic and material transport,which needs to be further studied.
