Influencing factors of depression and anxiety in patients with interstitial cystitis
Objective To explore the influencing factors of depression and anxiety in patients with interstitial cystitis(IC).Methods A total of 108 IC patients were selected and assessed with Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale,O'Leary-Sant questionnaire(OLS),Visual Analog Scale(V AS),Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire(CERQ),and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS).The relationship between Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale score and disease course, scores of OLS,VAS,CERQ,and SSRS was analyzed using Pearson correlation analysis. The analysis of the influencing factors of depression and anxiety in IC patients was conducted using binary logistic regression analysis. Results There were 61 patients had depressive symptoms(61/108,56.48%)and 72 patients had anxiety(72/108,66.67%).Compared with patients without depression and anxiety, patients with depression and anxiety had a higher proportion of monthly income<3 000 yuan, and higher scores of OLS and non adaptive regulation strategy of CERQ(P<0.05);as well as lower scores of SSRS and adaptive regulation strategy of CERQ(P<0.01).Depression score and anxiety score were positively correlated with OLS score,VAS score,CERQ non adaptive regulation strategy score(P<0.001),while negatively correlated with CERQ adaptive regulation strategy score and SSRS score(P<0.001).The results of logistic regression analysis showed that monthly income<3 000 yuan, high OLS score, high VAS score, and high CERQ non adaptive regulation strategy score were risk factors for depression and anxiety in IC patients(P<0.05),while high CERQ adaptive regulation strategy score and high SSRS score were protective factors(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of depression and anxiety in IC patients is relatively high, and economic conditions, severity of IC symptoms, cognitive emotion regulation strategies, and social support are the influencing factors for IC patients to develop depression and anxiety.
