Psychopathology and its influencing factors in adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury behavior based on latent profile analysis
Objective To explore the psychopathological characteristics and influencing factors in adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)behavior based on latent profile analysis(LPA).Methods A total of 223 adolescents with NSSI were selected and assessed with self-designed general information questionnaire,Bech-Rafaelsen Mania Rating Scale(BRMS),Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90),and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ).The data were studied in depth using statistical approaches such as LPA and logistic regression. Results The psychopathological characteristics of adolescents with NSSI could be categorized into four separate categories:24%in more severe group,40%in severe group,30%in moderate group, and 6%in mild group.Age,degree of mania and psychoticism exhibited a strong predictive effect on possible categories of psychopathological features in adolescents with NSSI.Compared to more severe group, the higher the age,the higher the likelihood of being in mild group(OR=1.545,P<0.05).Compared to mild group, the higher the age,the higher the probability of being in moderate group(OR=0.684,P<0.01),and the probability of being in severe group was 0.694(P<0.01).Compared to mild group, the more pronounced the degree of mania, the likelihood of becoming in moderate group increased(OR=2.174,P<0.05).Compared to more severe group, the more pronounced the degree of psychoticism, the probability of being in severe group was 0.963(P<0.01).Conclusion The psychopathological aspects of adolescents with NSSI exhibit high group heterogeneity and individual variability, which provides an essential reference for tailored intervention strategies for adolescent NSSI.
