As a breakthrough to promote the integrated development of transportation and tourism and a supporting condition to realize holistic tourism destinations,touristy roads are playing an important leading role.At present,the main problems in domestic and international researches of touristy roads were the weakness of fundamental theoretical research and insufficient depth of application research.This paper takes the planning and design of Wenhe cultural touristy roads for example,starting from smooth-travel system,service system,landscape system and intelligent system,which discusses the concepts and methods of touristy roads planning and design from the four systems.
