Theoretical and measurement error analysis of porosity and drainage coefficient of permeable water-stable gravel
The porosity and drainage coefficient of permeable water-stable gravel were calculated theoretically and compared with the measured values. The effects of different gradations and different cement dosages on the permeability of permeable water-stable gravel were studied. The results show that there is a large error between the theoretical and measured values of porosity and drainage coefficient of permeable cement-stabilized aggregates when the designed porosity is less than 15%,and the calculated porosity and drainage coefficient of permeable cement-stabilized aggregates when the porosity is more than 18%are in line with the measured values. When the cement dosage is 5%~7%,the Elsayed empirical formula can better predict the drainage coefficient and porosity of permeable cement stabilized crushed stone. When the ash dosage is greater than 7%,it affects the connected pores of the water stabilized crushed stone and has a great influence on its drainage capacity.
