Research on the plastic internal forces of concrete compressive members under axial loads
Elastic internal forces are often used as the design basis in the design of concrete structures, but due to the nonlinear nature of concrete compression members,it leads to errors in the calculation results of internal forces of superstatic structures. In this paper, the differences in the internal force results of reinforced concrete compression members at various stress stages are investigated by analysing the elastic-plastic loading of reinforced concrete compression members under the axial force in the mid-span region. The calculation results show that the internal forces and reinforcements calculated by the traditional structural mechanics methods differ significantly from the results calculated by considering elastic-plastic,in which the maximum internal force error is nearly eight times.
