The Moral Metaphor and Its Educational Realization to Relieve the Dilemma of Moral Cognition
The development of rationalization and science in modern times has disenchanted the whole world,and the pursuit of deterministic knowledge has become the main purpose of education.Moral knowledge has been narrowed to the moral law that must be obeyed,making it difficult to con-vey the meaning of children.To solve this dilemma,it is necessary to clarify the particularity of moral knowledge and explain why moral knowledge occurs.From the perspective of phenomenology,the occurrence of moral cognition is the occurrence of moral experience.Moral knowledge is intuitive and originates from human sensory experience,containing the generation of imagination and contin-gency thinking.As one of the basic cognitive methods of human beings,moral metaphorical thinking has the characteristics of non-determinism,concreteness,and the integration of emotion and knowl-edge,which can stimulate people's moral imagination,remove the veil of abstract knowledge,and thus reach the meaning world of human beings.In order to relieve the dilemmas of moral cognition with moral metaphor,it is necessary to pay attention to children's embodied experience,move from perceptual intuition to essential intuition,and carry out poetic moral education.
