Three Dimensional Analyses of the Rationality of Evaluation Criteria of Teacher Ethics
The criteria for evaluating teacher ethics serve as an ethical benchmark to judge the virtue of teachers'educational behavior and qualities. One of the conditions for their effective appli-cation is their inherent rationality, encompassing three dimensions:form, content, and substance.Regarding formal rationality, these criteria should highlight the dominant role of society, reflect the unique attributes of education, ensure the legitimacy of rights and interests, and be practically feasi-ble.In terms of its content rationality, the criteria should exhibit a hierarchical structure in specific requirements and convey completeness in its contents. For substantive rationality, ethical evaluation criteria that embody certain value orientations should express their worth on three levels:subjective significance, internal significance, and external significance.By comprehensively understanding the rationality of evaluation criteria of teacher ethics and conducting evaluations scientifically,we can enhance the effectiveness of moral assessments and support the healthy, sustainable development of education.
