Between Knowledge Seeking and Mobility:Research on the Motivation of Postgraduate Entrance Examination for New Generation Rural Female College Students
The new generation rural female college students are important parts of the postgraduate entrance examination group.Based on the perspective of life course theory and the approach of grounded theory,this paper takes 46 educational biographies as research samples to explore the behavioral motivations of their participation decision of postgraduate entrance examination.It is found that knowledge seeking and mobility are the core events of the group's life course,and the life experience of knowledge seeking in the space flow shapes the characteristics of individualization,which gives birth to the individualized choice of"postgraduate entrance examination"to continue seeking knowledge in order to realize social mobility.The institutional space created by Chinese modernization,the expansion of the access to knowledge,the organizational guarantee provided by the family and the increasing tendency of individualization constitute the great driving force for this group's decision making together.
