New Cittamatra in the Perspective of Value Philosophy
Shi-Li Hsiung's New Cittamatra comes out as a book between the twenties of the 20th century and thirties of the 20th century.Cultural crisis brought by the western culture brought intellectuals a strong shock at that time and the traditional values have changed.As a representative of modem new Confucian,Shi-Li Hsiung's creation of New Cittamatra is based on the inheritance and criticism of Buddhism and Confucianism to solve the conflict between Chinese culture and western culture.In this paper,the purport of analyzing Shi-Li Hsiung's New Cittamatra through the path of value philosophy is to explore its significance in rebuilding moral self and value subjects,to establish the subjectivity and national identity of excellent Chinese traditional culture,and other aspects in the unprecedented great changes of a century.
