Land Use Efficiency Analysis based on the Perspective of Undersired Output:Taking Hebei Provinle as an Example
The paper selects 11 municipal units in Hebei Province as the research subjects, taking the period from 2008 to 2021 as the research stage. With a focus on output, the study employs the super-efficiency SBM-DEA model with undesirable outputs and the Malmquist index model to conduct both static and dynamic analyses of land use efficiency at the municipal level in Hebei Province. The research indicates that, from a static perspective, the average land use efficiency of the municipal units in Hebei Province during the years 2008 to 2021 was 0.895,indicating a generally moderate to high efficiency level. However, there exists significant variation in efficiency values among different municipal units. From a dynamic viewpoint, the land use efficiency of the municipal units in Hebei Province shows an increasing trend, with an average growth rate of 3.3%.There are three time periods during which efficiency experiences a negative growth trend, which can be attributed to a decline in technological advancements. The findings of this study provide strong support for addressing the issues of low land use efficiency, refining industrial forms and resource allocation transformations, and optimizing input of production factors.
