By studying the effect of the exogenous substance sodium nitrate on the contents of active substances(total flavonoids, total triterpenoids, total polyphenols, polysaccharide)and antioxidant capacity in the leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus,to provide a reference for the development and utilization of the active ingredients of Cyclocarya paliurus. The control group(CK)and three SNP treatments with low, medium and high concentrations were set to determine the contents of active substances in the leaves of Cyclocarya paliurus and the free radical clearance of ABTS and DPPH.Exogenous SNP significantly reduced the total flavonoids content in the Cyclocarya paliurus leaves, but significantly increased in the content of total polyphenols and polysaccharides.Reduction of the content of total triterpenoids was observed but not significant, however, significantly increased the clearance rate of ABTS and DPPH were observed.Treatment of 1.0mML SNP increased the total polyphenols and polysaccharide contents and enhanced the antioxidant capacity of Cyclocarya paliurus leaves in vitro.
