Research and Application of Recreational Carrying Capacity of Urban Natural Parks Based on LAC Theory
This study addresses the issue of overuse of urban natural park recreation resources and the management and operation of parks under the new development concept.Taking Fuzhou He-lin Eco Park as the research site, this study adopts the nine-step approach of the LAC theory.By employing a measurable set of descriptive and evaluative factors influencing carrying capacity,it aims to reflect the current state of recreational carrying capacity in the park. The assessment includes passenger capacity, recreation management, and landscape optimization.A new perspective on park carrying capacity research is proposed, which involves passenger capacity assessment, recreation management, and landscape optimization. The study also proposes a framework for managing urban natural park recreation use, which can help address issues such as overloaded capacity, environmental degradation, and low recreation satisfaction levels. The research findings indicate that the instantaneous recreation carrying capacity of He-lin Eco Park is 6,460 person-times,and the daily recreation carrying capacity is 25,850 person-times.The effective ratios of recreation carrying capacity for the three types of ROS partitions of park facilities, landscape, and nature are 0.644,0.545,and 0.580,respectively.The overall carrying capacity of the park is moderate, with good sustainable development potential and room for further recreation development.
