Study on the Adaptability of Introduction of Acer platanoides'Crimson king'in Linyi Shandong
The adaptability of introduction of Acer platanoides'Crimson king'was studied in Linyi Shandong by means of primary selection and regional comparison.After years of observation,the results showed that the tree grew well,with medium growth rate.Both of the survival rate and preservation rate were above 90％.It had strong ornamental value,the leaves in spring,summer and autumn were purplish red,reddish brown and yellowish brown respectively,and the ornamental period was 206-211 days.It had strong adaptability,that were cold tolerance,heat tolerance,strong resistance to pests and diseases,moderate drought resistance,and certain waterlogging tolerance.The tree could adapt to the climate and soil conditions of Linyi,and could be used as an excellent landscape tree species in Linyi and surrounding areas.
