Introduction Observations and Adaptation Studies of Hawthorn in North Slope of Qilian Mountain Eastern Foothill
In order to develop the forest and fruit industry and increase cultivation benefit in cold area of Qilian Mountain eastern foothill north slope,five hawthorn varieties'Jian purple pulp','Old red','Yehe','Dawang',and'Double red'were introduced,after which were planted the survival rates and preservation rates were counted,the phonological phase was observed in full bearing period,and the quality indexes and yield were determined.The result showed that the single fruit weight,soluble protein content,soluble sugar content,Vc content,and equivalent yield of Jian purple pulp'were the highest of different varieties,which were 8.32 g,7.23％,9.24％,116.56 mg/100 g,and 6138.45 kg/hm2 separately,the survival rate and preservation rate after five years were the second,which were 95.01％and 93.90％,and the germination beginning period were the later than other varieties,which was April 12th,whose comprehensive effect was the best of different varieties,which should be applied in hawthorn production in cold area of Qilian Mountain eastern foothill north slope firstly.
