Geely Auto released the company's carbon neutral strategic plan in 2021,the short-term goal is based on 2020,reduce every single vehicle lifecycle carbon emissions by more than 25％by 2025,and the long-term goal is to be carbon neutral by 2045,pure electric vehicles are one of the key paths for Geely to accelerate the electrification process and achieve carbon neutrality.Although pure electric vehicles are zero exhaust emissions,there will still be a large amount of carbon emissions in its whole life cycle,so it is necessary to explore how to reduce its negative impact on the environment in the research and development of pure electric vehicles.This paper analyzes the sources of carbon emissions from cradle to gate of a pure electric vehicle,and analyzes and introduces the carbon emission reduction schemes implemented in the production and manufacturing of the power battery,materials and the whole vehicle,and finally summarizes the carbon emission reduction work in each stage within the system boundary.
