Research on the correlation between lateral stiffness of wheel rims and road noise improvement.In order to optimize the road noise of certain electric vehicle,a simulation combined with testing method was used to evaluate the lateral stiffness of the wheel rims.Modal simulation and experimental benchmarking were conducted on the wheel rims,verifying that the lateral stiffness of the wheel rims can be calculated through simulation in the early stage of vehicle development,and specific indicators were proposed for corresponding control to verify the impact of different lateral stiffness on the noise transfer function,The road test verification results of the lateral stiffness of the optimized wheel rims show that in the frequency range of 200~400Hz,the lateral stiffness of the wheel rims has a significant impact on the road noise of the entire vehicle.This article conducts research and verification on the correlation between rim lateral stiffness and road noise improvement,further verifying the impact of rim lateral stiffness improvement on road noise improvement,and providing a theoretical basis for optimizing NVH road noise of electric vehicles.
