The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of age factors on pedestrian lower limb injury in order to improve the level of pedestrian protection.Based on the CIDAS(China in-depth accident study)database,16 real pedestrian collision cases from 2017 to 2022 were screened.The PC-Crash software was used to reconstruct the accident;obtain the boundary conditions,and import them into the vehicle-pedestrian lower limb finite element collision model for damage reconstruction.Through logistic regression model analysis,the injury parameters and lower limb injury risk prediction models of different age groups under different collision velocities were obtained.The results of the study showed that there were differences in the threshold and tolerance limit of long bone injury of the lower extremity at different ages.This study provides important data support for the development of pedestrian protection regulations and lower limb injury assessment indicators.
