In the context of the development of"large transportation"and"large maintenance".This paper deeply discusses the common faults of catenary segmented insulators in the operation yard,freight lines,special routes and locomotive maintenance lines,and makes a detailed analysis and summary of these situations,and proposes a set of management measures including management strategies and equipment solutions.At present,China already has various types of catenary segmented insulators,and how to effectively deal with their faults in the process of operation has become one of the key problems to be solved in the inspection and maintenance management of catenary at this stage.The catenary segmented insulator is mainly used for locomotive maintenance operations,cargo handling operations and specific vehicles entering and exiting the warehouse,etc.,and can also play an insulating role in periodic inspection and maintenance of catenary.However,due to factors such as mixed traction of China's railways and environmental pollution in some sections,the service life of insulating elements has been greatly reduced,and the maintenance time has been greatly reduced.
