With the advent of the era of Industry 4.0 and the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry,vehicle engineering,as an important part of the new engineering discipline,is facing new challenges and opportunities for its talent training model.This paper discusses the training mode of new engineering talents in vehicle engineering based on curriculum ideology and politics,and cultivates students'feelings of family and country,global vision,awareness of the rule of law and ecological awareness through the integration of ideological and political education,so as to meet the needs of new technologies,new industries and new economic development,in order to improve the quality and effect of vehicle engineering teaching and promote the all-round development of students.
