The structural stiffness of the automobile body mainly refers to the bending stiffness and torsional stiffness of the body. There is a direct correlation between the structural stiffness of the body and the NVH performance of the vehicle,i.e.noise,vibration and harshness.Good stiffness can prevent the structure from deforming greatly under load, which will cause large relative displacement between various components,or high noise caused by the change of acoustic-structure interaction between the body structure and the cavity in the cabin.Improving the stiffness of the body structure can effectively suppress the body vibration, reduce the vibration transmission, and enhance the ride comfort and handling stability. When studying the optimization of body structural stiffness to enhance NVH performance,we can start from the selection of optimized body structure design,high-performance materials, improved manufacturing process and noise reduction components.
