As a novel driving concept,defensive driving takes prevention as the core,and the driver avoids potential dangers in driving and reduces accident losses through real-time observation,prevention and prediction of road conditions and personal experience.Defensive driving consists of five elements:"estimating risk,combining near and far,being based on the big picture,leaving room for improvement,and being eye-catching".This paper expounds the importance of defensive driving and puts forward relevant reasonable suggestions to improve drivers'awareness of safe driving.
