With the advancement of Computer-Aided Design(CAD)technology,parametric design has become an important tool in the field of automotive styling design.This study analyzes the historical background,theoretical basis,and evolution of parametric design in automotive design.It introduces the application scope of parametric design technology in the interior and exterior styling design of automobiles and conducts an in-depth study of its advantages and challenges.The research adopts a case study method,selecting design projects from several well-known automotive brands to demonstrate the effects of parametric design in practical applications.Finally,it analyzes how to make reasonable use of parametric design to make the interior and exterior styling of automobiles more futuristic and technological,providing useful references and insights for future automotive styling design.
