Under the dual challenges of global economic development and climate change,China's"dual carbon"goal(carbon peak in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060)provides an internal driving force for sustainable social development and has become an important strategy to promote green transformation.In this context,this paper explores how the automotive elective course"Carbon Neutrality and Automobile"innovates the ideological and political curriculum,aiming to convey the Chinese story and interpret the relationship between climate change and economic development,as well as the interaction between the development status of new energy vehicles and national policies by exploring the ideological and political elements in the automotive curriculum.This paper analyzes the importance of integrating curriculum ideology and politics into professional education,and emphasizes the key role of higher education in cultivating green and low-carbon awareness and guiding students to establish a correct outlook on life,worldview and values.Through the implementation of this course,the school not only responds to the Ministry of Education's talent training requirements for carbon peak and carbon neutrality,but also imperceptibly realizes the fundamental task of educating talents for the party and the country,and helps build a green future where man and nature coexist in harmony.
