The Implementation of Whole-Book Reading Approach Aiming at Cultivating Autonomous Learning Ability in Senior High School——Taking Painting China from Joyful Reading of China as an Example
The ability of autonomous learning is a necessary capacity for lifelong learners.English whole-book reading instruction is an effective way to cultivate students'core literacy in the English subject and improve their autonomous learning ability.Based on the theory of autonomous learning and relevant theories of reading literacy,this article has constructed a whole-book reading instruction implementation framework to cultivate this ability.It specifically explains how to apply this framework with a teaching example to develop this ability with locating and sorting out activities,integrating and inferring activities,evaluating and self-reflection activities.In the process of guiding students to use what they have learned to solve real-life problems,learners'autonomous learning ability is improved.
