Abstract
The teaching recommendations of the Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)emphasize enhancing the holistic nature of unit teaching.This article delves into the following aspects:first,understanding the concept of holistic unit teaching;second,interpreting the logic of holistic unit teaching as outlined in the curriculum standards;and finally,exploring implementation strategies.By examining specific cases,from textbook analysis and the establishment of a teaching objectives system to the design of teaching activities based on the perspective of English learning activities,this article provides a comprehensive interpretation of holistic unit teaching.The goal is to develop a complete understanding of holistic unit teaching,thereby achieving a student-centered approach and promoting the development of students'core competencies.
