大概念的提出将英语的工具性和人文性有机结合,以主题为纲领、语篇为依托,引导学生从跨文化视角观察和认识世界.本文以某版英语教材必修第一册第二单元为例,阐释如何在大概念教学框架下,以主题大概念和语言大概念为统领进行单元整体教学设计.教师通过深入研读语篇,提炼深层育人价值,确定单元主题大概念及语言大概念,并对相关文本进行结构化梳理、重构和补充,明确具体的单元目标与课时安排.大概念教学框架的应用,使教师在教学过程中紧紧围绕主题和语言运用,逐步为学生搭建语言支架,各个教学活动环环相扣、层层递进,促进学生综合和进阶式的发展.
Abstract
The introduction of big concepts organically combines the instrumental and humanistic aspects of English,using themes as guidelines and texts as support,guiding students to observe and understand the world from a cross-cultural perspective.This article uses the second unit of the first volume of a certain English textbook as an example to explain how to conduct unit-wide teaching design under the framework of big concept teaching,with thematic and linguistic big concepts as the main focus.By thoroughly studying the texts,teachers extract deeper educational values,determine the unit's thematic and linguistic big concepts,and structurally organize,reconstruct,and supplement the relevant texts to clarify specific unit goals and lesson plans.The application of the big concept teaching framework enables teachers to closely focus on themes and language use during the teaching process,gradually building a language scaffold for students.Each teaching activity is interconnected and progressively deepens,promoting comprehensive and advanced student development.
