Occurrence Mechanism and Evolution Path of Cooperative Behavior in Human-Autonomy Teaming
As artificial intelligence(Al)surpasses average human intelligence,it is not so much that we are entering an era of"eliminating mediocrity",but rather that we are presented with an opportunity to explore the potential for collaboration between humans and intelligent machines. The phenomenon of human-autonomy teaming naturally occurs in the context of the continuous iteration and interaction of technology and social relationships. After reviewing the evolution of human cooperative behavior from closed to open, the present study analyzes the origin and occurrence mechanism of human-autonomy teaming, revealing the key role of shared mental models and team situation awareness in establishing efficient cooperative behaviors.Furthermore,it explores the motivations for human-machine interaction and the factors affecting people's acceptance of Al as a collaborative partner. Finally,it discusses the challenges in human-machine collaboration and coping strategies, focusing on issues such as the complementarity of current artificial intelligence surpassing human intelligence, the"value alignment"challenge of AI,mental bluntness under AI dependence, and the way to construct new norm of human-AI communication, and proposing corresponding strategies.
