The overseas dissemination of"Red Classics",a literary and artistic genre closely integrated with contemporary social development of China,is inherently related to the international community's understanding of China."Red Classics"led to a phenomenon of knowledge reproduction with its widespread dissemination in some countries in Europe,America and Asia in the 1950s to 1970s.The recognition and appreciation for"Red China"from foreign intellectuals,especially the left-wing intellectuals in the United States and France,counteracted the negative western mainstream media portrayal of China at the time.Their enthusiasm for Maoism and the achievements of China's revolution and socialist construction reflected in the"Red Classics"led to interaction and mutual learning.Since the 21st century,the concerns of adaptation and remaking of"Red Classics"in foreign literary and cultural fields have echoed implicitly with the inherent need in recent years in the foreign economic and political fields to understand and eagerly explore the successful development experience of contemporary China.
