Through organized teamwork,the Institute of History and Philology obtained a substantial archive of historical documents.The Institute sorted out and published influential collections of historical materials,survey reports and a number of far-reaching works,thus having established its mainstream position in the academic circle,and a new academic ethos,and become a role model for scholars to follow.The institute leveraged the well-developed sales network of the Commercial Press and utilized modern media to build a huge information network,through which its scholarly ideas,academic principles and research methodologies were quickly disseminated.As a result,the Institute had permeated into every field of the humanities,converged into an academic community,developed into the model for humanities and social science research in modern China,and exchanged with Sinology abroad,thereby entering the international academia.
