Soviet Drama as a Political Mobilization Medium:Layout,Transformation and Adaptation
Soviet drama actually emerged as a medium for political mobilization. In order to greatly stimulate the political mobilization effect of drama, the organizers of Soviet drama implemented three targeted measures.Firstly, they established institutionalized layouts. The Central Soviet had launched a multi-category and three-dimensional institutionalized construction of theatrical institutions, characterized by a layout that vertically connects and horizontally resonates.Secondly, they introduced adaptive changes, which involved casting new words with a new ideology directly into the drama, promoting the transformation of traditional drama societies, and vigorously promoting theatrical genres such as modern dramas and living newspapers.Thirdly, they localized adaptations. This entailed using local materials to create stories, focusing on major local events, and involving nearby personnel in the production process.Although the dramas in the Soviet area failed to demonstrate sufficient artistic professionalism and ceremonial sense, they had produced significant results in inducing ideas, guiding behavior, and inspiring spirit.
