How Is It Possible for the Elderly to be Re-Employed in China?—An Analytical Framework Based on the Theory of Feasible Capabilities
Re-employment of the elderly is an important strategy for the national strategy of active aging.Factors such as the abundant human resources of the elderly,the strong willingness of the elderly to re-employ,and the clear national policy guidance have greatly increased the possibility of re-employment of the elderly.Based on Amartya Sen's feasible ability theory,this paper analyzes the practical dilemma of reemployment of the elderly and the optimization path.The study finds that there are practical difficulties in the re-employment of the elderly in China,such as poor channels for the expression of interests,weak employment competitiveness,insufficient employment opportunities for the elderly,poor transparency of employment information and lack of employment security system,and the optimization of the channels for the expression of interest appeals,the promotion of high-quality development of education for the elder-ly,the development of human resources for the elderly,the improvement of the information service plat-form for the elderly,and the establishment and improvement of laws and regulations on the employment of the elderly.
