Research on the Impact of Collective Wage Negotiation on Employee Satisfaction
Based on microdata from a survey of labor relations in Zhejiang,this article empirically analy-zes the impact of collective wage negotiation on employee satisfaction by constructing an employee satis-faction rating system using exploratory factor analysis.The results show that collective wage negotiation in enterprises can significantly enhance employee satisfaction with compensation,employee development,and overall satisfaction.Compared with industry-level collective wage negotiation,negotia-tion at the enterprise level and regional level has a more pronounced effect on improving employee satis-faction.In state-owned enterprises and non-manufacturing industries,the promotion of employee satis-faction through collective wage negotiation is more effective than in private enterprises and manufacturing industries.In terms of the mechanism of influence,collective wage negotiation can improve employee satisfaction by regulating the payment of overtime pay and mediating labor disputes between enterprises and employees.To promote mutual support and harmonious progress between enter-prises and employees,it is recommended to optimize mechanisms for labor compensation and employee development,regulate the payment of overtime pay,and effectively coordinate labor disputes to promote the construction of harmonious labor relations between enterprises and employees.
