Exploring Quality Assurance Mechanisms in Continuing Education for the New Era
As China's socio-economic landscape rapidly evolves and the construction of a learning society gains momentum,lifelong learning has emerged as a new cultural norm.Higher education's continued education programs are increasingly attracting widespread attention.Amidst this new era backdrop,where continuing education serves as a pivotal driver of societal development,its quality is inextricably tied to the effectiveness of talent cultivation,rendering the establishment of an efficacious quality assurance mechanism a pressing necessity.This discourse commences by delineating core concepts,elucidating the definitions of continuing education and quality assurance mechanisms,followed by a thorough dissection of prevailing issues within the realm of continuing education.In response to these identified challenges,seven strategies are proposed for establishing a quality assurance mechanism to address these issues:defining the educational institution's mission with clarity,refining the faculty appraisal system,constructing a comprehensive student evaluation framework,optimizing allocation of pedagogical resources,refining regulatory systems and procedures,and seamlessly integrating the ideology of curriculum-based political,and ideological education into the fabric of continuing education,refining and enhancing the feedback mechanism.
