The Effect of Cutting Seedling Age on Strawberry Flower Bud Differentiation and Yield
Using the strawberry variety"liyinv"as the experimental material, this study compared the effects of 2.5 leaf,3.5 leaf,4.5 leaf, and 5.5 leaf cuttings on the growth, development, and yield of strawberries under soilless cultivation conditions in a greenhouse. The results showed that the younger the seedling age of cuttings, the significantly higher survival rate of cuttings reached.Compared to other seedling ages, the survival rate of 2.5 leaves reached 93.3%;There are significant differences in the differentiation process of flower buds in the first order. The older the cuttings, the higher the flowering rate and the more irregular the flowering; The flowering rate of the second order flowers gradually increases as the seedling age decreases, with a more concentrated peak flowering period of 2.5 leaves and a higher flowering rate.As the seedling age decreases, the number of fruits increases, while as the seedling age increases, the individual fruit weight increases. However, there is no significant difference in total yield or individual plant yield.
