Drug Resistance Analysis Sensitivity and Virulence Genetic Testing of Bacillus Cereus in 218 Batches of Infant and Toddler Food in Huaian City
Objective To understand the current situation of Bacillus cereus contamination in infant and toddler food in Huaian City,as well as its susceptibility to drugs and the carrying status of major virulence genes. Methods From 2022 to 2023,218 batches of infant milk powder and auxiliary food for infants and young children were sampled from seven counties and districts of Huaian City. The detection was carried out according to the national standard GB4789.14-2014 National Food Safety Standard.Microbiological Examination of Food.Bacillus cereus Plate Count Method(The First Method). The drug sensitivity test was carried out with the automatic identification drug sensitivity analyzer. The hemolytic hblC gene, nonhemolytic nheB gene and vomitoxin ces gene were detected with fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results Out of 218 batches of infant food,Bacillus cereus were detected in 39 batches of infant food, with a detection rate of 17.89%.In the 23 drug sensitivity tests, the sensitivity rates of Bacillus cereus to Gentamicin,Amikacin, teicoplanin,Vancomycin,Chloramphenicol,Linezolid,Nitrofurantoin,Rifampicin,Levofloxacin,Moxifloxacin,Norfloxacin were 100%,and the sensitivity rates to Ciprofloxacin,Minocycline, tetracycline,Erythromycin,Clindamycin,Mupirocin at high concentration,Trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole,and Oxacillin were 97.44%,92.31%,89.74%,82.05%,38.46%,23.08%,20.51%and 5.13%,respectively.Bacillus cereus was not sensitive to Daptomycin, and was resistant to Ceftaroline Fosamil,Ampicillin and Penicillin. The carrying rate of hemolytic hblC gene was as high as 100%and the carrying rate of nonhemolytic nheB gene was 58.97%.The vomitoxin ces gene was not detected in this test. Conclusion The detection rate of Bacillus cereus in infant and toddler food is high, and the probability of carrying at least one virulence gene in the detected bacteria is as high as 100%.The resistance of Bacillus cereus to Ceftaroline Fosamil,Ampicillin and Penicillin,as well as the poor sensitivity to Daptomycin and Oxacillin can provide guidance for clinical medication plans.
