Determination of Sulfur Dioxide Residues in Rose Formula Granules and Chinese Rose Formula Granules by Ion Chromatography
Objective To determine sulfur dioxide residues in Rose Formula Granules and Chinese Rose Formula Granules by ion chromatography. Methods DIONEX IonPac AS II-HC(4 mm×250 mm)was used as the chromatographic column and DIONEX IonPac AS II-HC(4 mm×50 mm)was used as the protective column.20 mmol/L potassium hydroxide solution at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min was used as eluent of isocratic elution.ASRS 300 4-mm continuous automatic regeneration anion suppressor was used, the mode of automatic regeneration inhibition with added water was adopted, and the inhibition current was set at 50 mA.The conductivity cell detector was used for detection. The column temperature was 30℃,and the sample injection volume was 100 μl.Results The results showed a good separation of sulfate ions from other components and a good linear relationship between the concentration of sulfate ion and the peak area in the range of 0.0005-1.0 μg.The average recovery was 98.74%,with RSD of 1.57%.Conclusion The method is simple, accurate, sensitive and specific, and can be used for the determination of sulfur dioxide residues in Rose Formula Granules and Chinese Rose Formula Granules.
