Human Experimental Study on Improvement of Melasma by Two Kinds of Self-designed Capsules
Objective To observe the effect of two self-designed capsules on improving melasma.Methods One hundred and sixty-two patients with melasma were randomly divided into control group(n=54),study group 1(n=54,with 2 cases of late loss of screening)and study group 2(n=54),with a loss rate of 1.23%.The control group was treated with vitamin C and vitamin E.Study group 1 was treated with self-made formula 1(Persicae Semen,Poria and Angelicae Sinensis Radix).Study group 2 was treated with self-made formula 2(Carthami Flos,Semen Persicae,Poria and Angelicae Sinensis Radix).Results The improvement rates of the control group,study group 1 and study group 2 were 35.19%,55.77%and 66.67%,respectively.The improvement rates of the two study groups were statistically significant compared with the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).The improvement effect of study group 2 was better,indicating that Carthami Flos had the effect of removing melasma.Conclusion Both self-designed capsules helps to improve melasma.
