Optimization of HPLC Fingerprint and Cluster Analysis of Isatidis Folium Medicinal Herbs
Objective To establish and optimize the HPLC fingerprint of Isatidis Folium,and compare the quality of medicinal herbs of different batches and from different origins using cluster analysis(CA).Methods The fingerprints of 10 batches of Isatidis Folium were established by HPLC.Similarity comparison was performed and further CA was conducted using SPSS software.Results The chromatographic column and mobile phase conditions were optimized to establish a common characteristic fingerprint of Isatidis Folium.All batches of Isatidis Folium medicinal herbs were divided into 3 categories by CA,reflecting the differences among the quality characteristics of 10 batches of medicinal herbs.Conclusion HPLC fingerprint combined with CA can objectively and effectively evaluate and analyze the quality differences of Isatidis Folium medicinal herbs of different batches and from different origins,thus provide basis for comprehensive quality control of medicinal herbs.
