Progress of RCT Clinical Research on TaiChi Intervention in Chronic Diseases:Based on English Literature from 2015 to 2020
TaiChi is an aerobic exercise combining physical and mental exercises, emphasizing the coordination of movement and breathing. The trend of TaiChi published in English in recent five years shows that foreign scholars focus on the treatment of Noncommunicable diseases(NCDs),and generally agree that TaiChi is an effective intervention to improve chronic diseases.By searching PubMed and other English medical databases from January 2015 to October 2020,this paper aims to understand the current international trends and explore the possible impact mechanism of TaiChi on chronic diseases. The clinical research related to Taijiquan/TaiChi was listed as the research object under the guidance of WHO's definition of chronic diseases. Results show that most of the indicators were significantly improved. The analysis of influence mechanism show that TaiChi intervention could benefit people with chronic diseases by regulating lymphocyte, cortisol level, inflammatory molecule level and cerebral cortex thickness. However, none of the included studies involved the intervention intensity of TaiChi.In the next study,we will further explore the effect of TaiChi exercise intensity change.
