Effects of Perceived Task Diversity and Demand Satisfaction on Exercise Behavior of College Students:A Moderated Chain Mediation Model
Although the importance of physical exercise is widely known, the individual behavior of college students in physical education still shows the inconsistency of exercise motivation, exercise intention and exercise behavior.2 538 college students from seven regions of China were tested by the physical education teaching perceptual task diversity Scale, the physical education teaching basic psychological needs satisfaction Scale and the physical education teaching motivation Scale, and the exercise behavior model was built.Firstly, the internal operating path of the influence of perceived task diversity and psychological demand satisfaction on exercise behavior of college students is discussed.Secondly, the role of mediating effect variables on the process of exercise behavior is explored. The results show that:(1)The theoretical model of college students'exercise behavior based on self-determination theory can explain and predict the relationship between the variables well;(2)Perceived task diversity positively predicts autonomous motivation and negatively predicts de-motivation,and demand satisfaction positively predicts autonomous motivation and negatively predicts control motivation;(3)Perceptual task diversity and psychological demand satisfaction can promote college students'exercise behavior.Autonomous motivation and control motivation have an important chain mediation effect in the overall operation process, and autonomous motivation has the largest mediation intensity and effect amount.
