摘要
本文分析了早期英语世界接受的三部中国传统戏曲《赵氏孤儿》《老生儿》及《汉宫秋》,发现译者对原作结构的"整一性"调试是中国戏曲得以接受的形式要因,而对情节的"合式性"改写,构成了中国戏曲接受的内容基础.英语世界对中国戏曲形式和内容的双重改写折射出欧洲社会在"整一性"与"合式性"思想指导下对人本哲学的思考,对文明与理性的追求.这从哲学角度为早期中国戏曲的接受研究提供了新的分析视角,为中国戏曲外译及跨文化戏剧研究提供有益借鉴.
Abstract
This paper examines the reception of three Chinese traditional dramas,The Orphan of Zhao,Laou-Seng-Urh,and Han Koong Tsew.It discovers that the translators'adjustments on the"unity"of the structure and the"conformity"of the plots meet the aesthetical requirements of target readers.These adaptations,in form and content,reflect European society's contemplation of humanistic philosophy under the guidance of the principle of"unity"and"conformity",embodying the pursuit of civilization and rationality.This philosophical perspective provides a new angle for the study of the early reception of Chinese drama,offering useful insights for its cross-cultural translation and study.
