摘要
文章综观早期学术译家译论、术语翻译、学术汉译原则、学术外译实践、学术翻译历史、学术翻译概念、学术翻译编辑与出版、学术翻译批评等方面的研究,根据重要社会事件、文化运动、学术成果等将自 1894 年以来我国学术翻译研究的历史演进分为萌芽期、推进期、低迷期、复苏期和发展期五个阶段.文章观察到我国学术翻译研究理路经历的四点转变:研究方向从学术汉译转向学术外译,研究重心从学术译本转向学术译者,研究向度从内向型本体研究转向外向型综合研究,研究模式从经验总结转向理论探究;并为研究的未来发展提出三点建议:拓展学术翻译研究的对象、开展专门的学术翻译史研究、加强学术翻译理论研究.
Abstract
This paper provides an overview of the research on academic translation in China by delving into previous research on translators'views,terminology translation,principles and practices,editing and publishing,and criticism of academic translation.It divides the historical evolution of research on academic translation in China since 1894 into five stages:germination,advancement,depression,recovery,and development,based on the significant social events,cultural movements,and academic achievements.Four changes are observed in the history of research on academic translation in China,which are the shifts in research focus from translation into Chinese to translation from Chinese,from translated texts to translators,and the shifts in research paradigm from inward ontology study to outward synthesis study,from empirical summary to theoretical inquiry.Three suggestions are proposed for the future development of research on academic translation,namely expanding the scope of study,conducting more specialized historical studies,and improving theoretical research.
