As the culmination of the CPC's continuous exploration of the laws of democratic development and innovation in democratic theory and systems,the proposal of whole-process people's democracy has attracted widespread attention from international scholars.From the perspective of the motivations behind the research,overseas scholars'interest in whole-process people's democracy is driven by the CPC's significant achieve-ments in governance,as well as by the exploration of China's political development in the context of a major global power.In essence,whole-process people's democracy is a key component of socialist democracy,and the international focus reflects concern for the development of democratic values in both China and the West.Regarding the main research areas,overseas scholars focus on the connotation and characteristics of whole-process people's democracy,the differences and causes between whole-process people's democracy and Western democracy,and the influence and development prospects of whole-process people's democracy.A comprehensive analysis shows that the discussions have largely outlined the broader framework of whole-process people's democracy,but also reveals issues such as fragmented research content and a need for greater objectivity.This indicates that we should further integrate core political discourse and present compelling case studies of whole-process people's democracy to advance the global communication of whole-process people's democracy and contribute China's solutions and wisdom to the development of global democracy.
