The relationship between the six-meridian diseases in Treatise on Cold Damage and meridians and collaterals has always been a topic worthy of discussion.This article reviewed the literature of Treatise on Cold Damage and acupuncture and moxibustion,analyzed the relation and difference of six-meridian diseases in Treatise on Cold Damage and six meridians in theory of meridians and collaterals.They are related in nomenclature,location level,symptom and time correlation,but different in inductive basis and pathological state.Taking Shaoyang disease and Shaoyang meridian as an example,the differences and similarities between them can be explained according to pivot theory,which can provide reference for under-standing the relationship between the six-meridian diseases in Treatise on Cold Damage and theory of meridians and collaterals,and provide new ideas for clinical application.
