Textual Research on Name of Xuancao(Hemerocallis Fulva)
Based on the ancient classics of Chinese materia medica,the synonyms,homonyms and misnomers of Xuancao(Hemerocallis Fulva)were studied,and the reasons for the formation of these names were analyzed.After sorting out and summarizing,the reasons for the formation of these names of Xuancao were mostly related to their efficacy,morphological characteristics,cultural connotation or miswritten.The research on the name development of Xuancao was helpful to grasp the value of Xuancao in different historical peri-ods,and provided more abundant content for the study of medical history.In order to ensure the safety of modern clinical medication,the name of Chinese medicine should be strictly standard according to the principle of one medicine with one name.
